Mount Meru, nestled within the heart of Arusha National Park and standing 50 miles west of Mount Kilimanjaro, boasts an impressive volcanic peak reaching 14,980 feet (4,565 meters) into the sky. Renowned for its altitude acclimatization benefits and challenging terrain, this trek serves as an ideal preparatory venture for those eyeing the summit of Kilimanjaro. Catering to adventurers seeking solitude and a rigorous ascent, Mount Meru offers a less crowded alternative, attracting hikers eager for a formidable challenge. As the mountain resides within Arusha National Park, climbers are accompanied by armed rangers to ensure safety amid the diverse wildlife population. Along the lower slopes, encounters with elephants, giraffes, and buffalo enrich the journey with thrilling wildlife sightings, adding to the allure of the climb.
Ascending Mount Meru, hikers trace the northern rim of the volcano’s crater along a dramatic ridge line, with designated huts providing essential rest stops along the way. As the journey progresses, climbers are rewarded with the spectacle of dawn breaking over the summit, offering breathtaking panoramas of Mount Kilimanjaro and the rugged beauty of the Mount Meru Crater. With its challenging terrain, stunning vistas, and unique wildlife encounters, a trek up Mount Meru promises an unforgettable adventure for those seeking both physical and scenic rewards.

Posted on marc gVerified Mr Marc Green Great place. Lots of animals to see. Great roads to ride on. The staff we met where friendly and welcoming. I will defiantly be backPosted on moshachristinaVerified Family My husband and I did a trip together with our children in November 2019. I can tell everyone enjoyed and had a lot of fun too. Apart from the tour being good, the tour guide were entertaining the kids as well as being friendly to all of us. I will highly recommend this company to anybody who wish to visit Tanzania.Posted on Frank HVerified Safari Ausflug Es war ein super Erlebnis. Wir hatten einen tollen Guide, der uns alles erklärt hat und auch mal abseits der Anderen gefahren ist. Alles in Allem, sehr zu empfehlen!😄Posted on Maryna MVerified Vacation of a Lifetime! We booked our safari day trips through Serengeti Safari Booking. Very reliable, prompt and professional. Our safari guide named Simba made the two day trips a very memorable and fun filled experience. He was very informative and kept us eagerly looking for more and more as he filled us in about the history of the parks and interesting stories about different animals. He could mimic the different animal noises and it was so much fun watching as the animals responded accordingly! He taught us quite a bit of swahili along the way as well. A vacation of a lifetime!Posted on Anne AVerified Nyayo tour is the best. "Perfect Kilimanjaro climbing" I cannot express how grateful I am to Nyayo Tours for organising my first solo adventure to Kilimanjaro. It was definitely the best trip of my life! It took me a while to choose the right program to take (route and days to spend on the mountain) because I did not know anything about Tanzania National parks. I ended up choosing 5 days Marangu route. Many thanks to Raphael for answering my silly questions with enviable patience! Again many thanks to my Kilimanjaro team, my guide Emmanuel did a greater job for me to have a successful Kilimanjaro summit. Next time I visit Tanzania, I will definitely contact Nyayo Tours again.Posted on koen DVerified Interesting safari I was interested in 2 to 3 days safari in Tanzania, and my first concern was to find a perfect group to join because my budget was limited. After several days of asking some tour operators, I find out Nyayo Tours was the best and reliable (others were not open about the group size and safari reliability). I joined the group of 4 from different European countries to Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro and we all enjoyed the safari beyond our thoughts. The food was perfect and accommodation was superb. Our driver Raymond was highly knowledgeable about wildlife, he showed us things we never imagined. I would like to recommend 2-main parks to visit if you have a plan for few days safari; Ngorongoro crater and Tarangire park is enough for your lifetime wildlife experience, the third park that is Lake Manyara has no more to see compared to Tarangire and Ngorongoro. If you want to enjoy safari in Tanzania, Nyayo Tours should be your first choice, I openly recommend it to anyone.Posted on MutabilwaVerified Nyayo Tours is the best Company I had 5 days budget safari with Nyayo Tours. Winnie and her colleges helped me a lot in finding small group size to join, as i was interested for sole travel. The group was amazing and safari was of great experience. All that we expected went accordingly. I can not wait to say thanks to Mr. Raymond, who was our safari guide, he was very patient, answering all the questions. More thanks to Mr. Thomas for a perfect moment with food everyday. This was a one of a kind experience.Posted on Sharon MVerified Emmanuel will help you to the top Nyayo Tours was wonderful. The climb was interesting and perfect, we all made it to the top. Our chief guide Emmanuel and the whole crew were awasome with alot of help, they took excellent care of everyone. I would highly recommend them.Posted on Muddy MVerified Family holidays My family and I had a pleasant stay in Tanzania, we had unforgettable memories about Ngorongoro Crater and Wildebeest migration in Serengeti, my words are not enough to write what we experienced, I guess every person should be there.
